Chris Valenti
Filmmaker
Chris Valenti has been involved in the
production of dozens of films. Whether
acting, writing, directing, editing, composing,
or just lending a friend a hand behind
the scenes, the Tufts University engineering
graduate has keenly studied all aspects
of the production and development of these
motion pictures, many of them award winning.
He recently produced his own screenplay,
Sensitive
Johnson, a feature length romantic
comedy about a tenderhearted musician
with unfortunate dysfunctional romantic
timing. So far, the film has screened
at dozens of film festivals internationally,
winning hearts and awards at many stops.
Future film projects of his include the
production of his other feature length
screenplays: No Morafini, Where There's
a Will, Cadillac Sophie, and Help Yourself.
Chris is also an independent music artist
(www.ChrisValentiMusic.net),
a venture that led him to music industry
guru Tim Sweeney. After completing his
first radio-ready studio album, Emotional
Wreck, and proceeding to distribute only
200 of the 1000 CDs produced, Chris attended
a Music Strategies conference held by
Tim to learn how to sell the remaining
CDs and more. Realizing he now owned a
camera and editing system, which he purchased
for his first feature, and sensing a potentially
interesting struggle with possible universal
lessons learned along the way, Chris asked
Tim if he could film some of his seminars.
He also convinced some friends to film
him as he followed Tim’s suggestions.
The result became Chris’s first feature
length documentary, 800 CDs.
